The train departs Nairobi three time a week –

this is booked with the Dining Car steward who after departing
Nairobi / Mombasa, will visit each carriage (if you prefer
the first sitting, which is the most popular,
Scenery time - Starts from 5am which you pass by
near Sultan Hamud and Nairobi National park if train gets
delayed you have best animals views

straddle a hole in the floor that goes DIRECTLY ONTO THE
TRACKS. (you are NOT supposed to
use the choo toilet when it is stopped).
